Born in the historic town of Nancy, Pichon grew up in a family that valued education, particularly math and science. Early participation in sponsored computer programming competitions led to her joining the army cadets at sixteen.
Emmanuelle Pichon is an expert technologist with a penchant for using gadgetry to aid her squad. She enters operations with a small drone capable of delivering disabling electric shocks to hostile forces and their traps.

A handheld, trigger-operated pistol powered by a pressurized CO2 charge delivering a 1mg dose of epinephrine in a saline solution.

Kateb grew up in an affluent family, in Paris’ 16th arrondissement. At twenty, he abandoned a potentially prominent private medical practice in favor of a career with the French Defense Health Service.
Gustave Kateb is cut from a rare cloth: a genuine altruist, a true believer in making the world a safer place for his fellow man. A volunteer for Doctors Without Borders and medical officer for the Brigade des Forces Speciales Terre, he is a proficient field medic who carries a Stim Pistol allowing him to revive downed teammates from a distance.

Le Roc was first issued in the late 1980s. A composite of reinforced alloys and Kevlar, its sturdiness and well-designed collapsible feature, has made it a staple in GIGN operations for nearly thirty years.
BIO
A veteran of the National Gendarmerie, Gilles Touré is the longest-serving GIGN operative. Fiercely protective of his teammates, this gentle giant would not hesitate to throw himself in front of a bullet if it meant protecting his fellow operators from harm. He brandishes an extra-large riot shield, first issued in the 1980’s, that has seen more action than most operators.
Montagne is the ultimate pointman to breach the enemy lines: he can expand his shield to fully cover him from head-to-toe while standing, providing extra cover for him and those behind him.

The GIGN’s R1N “Rhino” Armor contains a hot-pressed boron ceramic plate designed to stop small-arms fire from penetrating the chest cavity as well as offering small protection and trauma caused by back-face deformation. They are stored in a light weight sturdy satchel for rapid field deployment.

Julien Nizan is the deliverer of the GIGN's famous trust exercise for new recruits: taking a bullet fired by one of your colleagues with only a small armor plate to protect you. He carries these same armor plates into combat, dropping them for his allies to reinforce their defenses.
Rook can greatly improve his team's survival by dropping his Armor Pack: each R1N “Rhino” Armor plate will increase the chances of the wearer to drop in DBNO when shot instead of being killed.
